 Permit Eligibility

USU Faculty and Staff are eligible for YELLOW or GREEN parking permits. Students on work study, or student employees, do not qualify for faculty/staff lots. Faculty/Staff that wish to park in a lot other than YELLOW or GREEN need to submit a request to be on the Wait-list. If you qualify for a student permit and a faculty/staff permit you will need to choose which type of permit you would like but you may not get both. If you choose to purchase a student permit you no longer qualify for the faculty/staff wait-list.  To be eligible for a student permit you are required to be matriculated and registered for 1 or more credits at Utah State University for the current semester or in the case of summer be registered for the upcoming fall semester.If your status at Utah State University changes and you no longer qualify for the permit you have your permit is no longer valid. Vehicles using invalid permits may be impounded.

Faculty/Staff permits expire each year on MARCH 15th. If you have an expiring permit they need to be renewed in MARCH.

Event Parking

If you are planning an event on campus we encourage you to contact our Event Coordinator, Teresa Johnson, to make parking arrangements.  An event can consist of one speaker coming to a department, to large campus wide events with hundreds of participants.

Tokens for Parking Terrace Validations

Tokens may be purchased, from the parking office, that can be used in either parking terrace. They do not expire, making them perfect for event planning or departments that often have guests visiting campus.

Tokens can be purchased in bags of:

  • 50 for $60.00
  • 100 for $120.00
  • 500 for $600.00 (please call prior to pick up if requesting 500 or more tokens)

1 token = 1 hour of parking, 5 tokens= all day

Game Day Parking

FOOTBALL GAME DAY PARKING
 
On days that a football game is held on a school day, all vehicles must be moved out of the YELLOW stadium lots and YELLOW terraced lots by noon. This upcoming season of USU Football most home games fall on Saturdays and should not affect school day parking.
 
BASKETBALL GAME DAY PARKING
 
On the days that a Basketball game is held on a school day, all vehicles must be moved out of the BLUE CPD lot and BLACK lot by 6:00 pm. To help facilitate this, faculty/staff with a BLACK permit can park in the Big Blue Terrace across from the HPER all day without cost. Your BLACK hang permit will let you out for free.
